TEX HS: St. John's Coach Sam Chambers Co-Authors Book

St. John’s high school boys varsity head coach Sam Chambers has co-authored a new book that will be released May 1.

“Head Case: Lacrosse Goalie” is the first in a series of sports fiction books that will be put out by Bright Sky Press. Chambers co-authored the book with sports psychologist Dr. Bob Rotella.

The book aims to teach youths through a story of a lacrosse player that has difficulty performing in game situations. It is aimed at readers ages 9-12.

“Young athletes will find invaluable lessons on how to play their best, smartest game while still having a good time, using the 10-2 win principles outlined after the story,” according to the book’s press release. “Along the way, beginning lacrosse players get a primer in the language, rules and techniques of the game, both through story and the handy glossary of terms that follows.”
