TEX BOYS: Reed Daniel Commits to Sewanee University

St. John’s senior middie Reed Daniel has committed to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Sewanee, The University of the South.
Daniel also considered Washington & Lee, Goucher, Denison and Southwestern before settling on the Tennessee-based school.
"It was all about the visit," Daniel said. "Once I got on campus and met the team, it just felt like the right fit for me. From there, I fell in love with the campus and fell in love with the school."
As a junior, Daniel registered 41 points on 25 goals and 16 assists and was a first-team South District Division I All-State selection. Daniel was also chosen as a first-team selection in the Southwest Preparatory Conference’s south zone. He said he is prepared to make the transition to the college game.
"I think it'll be difficult at first, but I'm ready to take on a new challenge and see how it goes," he said.
