LOU-TEX HS: Klein Wins Third Straight Sugar Bowl Classic
From Press Releases
Klein High School from Houston remains the only school to own an Allstate Sugar Bowl Lacrosse Classic title, as it defeated C.E. Byrd High School from Shreveport, 8-4, on Sunday to win its third championship in the three-year history of the event.
Klein finished with a perfect 5-0 record in the two-day event, outscoring its opponents, 47-6. Byrd, which took runner-up honors for the second straight season, gave Klein all it could handle in the final. After Klein jumped to a 4-1 advantage, the Shreveport-based squad battled back to close within 4-3, but then Klein scored three unanswered goals to wrap up the title.
